Digital Camera enables you to take a large amount of pictures and after comparing the pictures also allows to delete the unwanted and storing the ones which are good. Storing can be done in two places for as per convenience, either it can be in an memory card which is in the camera itself or on your PC. There are different types of cameras, first is ultra compact it does not have flash, second is compact which is mainly used by the  people who have hobby of photography, and third one is Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) cameras it is used by the professionals.

• Digital cameras work mainly on Lenses and Filters are used to control the surrounding light. Lenses can be of three types, macro lens, wide-angle lens & telephoto lens. Macro lens is used for taking pictures of small objects, wide-angle lens as the name suggest is used for landscapes and telephoto lens are used to get close to the objects which are dangerous.

Artist in his work has a gift of portraying the world in the way he views it. All types of photography are an art but if it is digital macro photography then we can say that it is truly an art. With the help of digital macro photography, a gifted artist can take something average or rejected picture and change it into something that is a masterpiece.

To produce good pictures through digital macro photography, listed below are the conditions, which should be considered:

• One should have the skills and likings for photography. Photographer should know to appreciate the beauty but also able to express this to others through his work. While taking pictures, how you hold the camera is very important, even a slight movement can cause damage to it.

But, it is no mean task. On the one hand, there are periods when I am not too enthusiastic to pour my heart out online. There are other times when I wonder if my fellow-photographers are finding their way to my blog and gaining from it.

In the earlier days, I would blog only about issues and techniques related to photography. Now it has become more than that. Though this remains and will remain a blog dedicated to photographers, I make sure to include topics that would be of tangential interest to photographers.

In olden days photography was done on the trial and error basis, many pictures were taken, developed and then a perfect picture was selected from the lot. However, in recent times with the digital cameras in the market, the standard of pictures has changed completely. Pictures, which are not of good quality, can be simply deleted and new samples can take their place. All this is possible due to the new techniques used in Digital cameras.

Single Lens Reflex (SLR) cameras lenses and mirrors are used. Mirror is used to reflect incoming light onto the viewfinder. In this way, a photographer can guess how the image will emerge when it is printed. An SLR camera has a special feature of using separate lenses that can be changed depending on the pictures that have to be removed.

Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) camera too uses lenses and mirror, but this camera does not use, it uses chips and memory. We can say that DSLR camera is the programmed version of the conventional SLR camera.

      1.   While taking pictures it is always advisable to take the portrait of upper body and not the full body.

2.   If taking picture of the upper body seems to be a problem then, a person can be made to stand at one side and then zoom can be used.

3. For a good photograph, light plays a very important role, you are using old or a digital camera, the law of optics remains the same. Remember if the image is in front of the sun, the picture will be in shadow if it is in front of the image, the person in the photo will appear cockeyed unless sunglasses are on. 

4. Use your goggles to take away reflections from objects which are shining.

6. When using a filter, the light source  should be at right angles to the image.

7. When taking pictures of  landscapes and outdoor portraits white balance setting should be changed from auto to cloudy.

8. When photographing in sun, flash mode should not be used.

9. Use zooms to highlight a certain quality or feature of the image being shot.

10. One should keep practicing to be perfect.
