Gradually, all types of photographers, common people or professional are switching over to digital photography from traditional cameras. Since digital photography has become so common, we should know the terms and functions, which are used in this.
1. Pixel- it is the unit of the photo image, one picture consists millions of pixels.
2. Resolution- higher the resolution sharper is the picture better is the quality of the photograph. It is the total quantity of pixels in a picture
3. Mega pixel- again higher the mega pixel used better is the quality of the picture.
4. Dots Per Inch (DPI) - this relates particularly to the print of the picture. Higher the dpi better is the quality.
5. JPEG (joint photographic experts group) - format for saving pictures in the digital camera and computer.
6. Memory Card- Your camera needs a higher storage capacity to click more pictures. Memory cards are available in varieties of sizes and capacity.
7. LCD (liquid crystal display) - to select the best pictures amongst many others, LCD is used. It allows us to view the scene before storing that particular photo. LCD feature is available in almost all digital cameras.
You pass the first hurdle if you know to properly handle the camera. The productivity and its quality depend on this factor. It is understood that success of a photographer depends on the quality of his work.

• Subject that you choose is of primary importance, once you select then just keep taking pictures with different angles, different background taking care that the subject should never be in the center.
• Close up Photos tests your capabilities. Taking close up photos of the subject is a challenge, accept and prove it.
• Do not be shy in using Tripod; this will help you in having a steady photograph, which will be of good quality.
• Be active and keep a go get it attitude, search new subjects and locations. While working always be sure to have fun, this will reflect in your work.
